Hi, I’m Angie Ponce de Leon, founder of MindSpark Learning Solutions. As a Learning Experience Designer with over 13 years in education, I create dynamic learning solutions for both adults and children. In my years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand how the right approach can transform learners, fostering growth and confidence. Empowering others to embrace learning with curiosity and confidence has always been my passion. MindSpark is my way of sharing that passion—helping learners of all ages reach their potential.

My Story
My teaching journey began as a preschool teacher and team lead, where I discovered a deep passion for working with children. This inspired me to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education, further refining my ability to create meaningful learning experiences. Over the past 10+ years, I have taught multiple grade levels, implemented diverse curricula, and designed engaging lessons that foster student growth. I developed evaluation tools such as rubrics and standards, analyzed assessment data to identify learning gaps, and reinforced key skills to support student success. The most rewarding part of my journey has been witnessing students gain confidence and mastery in the content I teach.
Over time, my passion for education expanded beyond the classroom, leading me to create MindSpark Learning Solutions—a space where I can take the methods and insights I developed and apply them in a way that empowers learners of all ages.

E-Learning Module
This is lesson two of a student-paced e-Learning module that is divided into 7 small lessons. Through these tasks, students learn to identify and name 5 vowels, distinguish between their long and short vowel sounds, and use long and short vowel sounds in words.
Creative Assessment
This is a type of assessment I have assigned to my students to show their knowledge. The objective was to retell key story events. This creative method helps children be engaged in the activity and excited to show what they know.

My Story
Teaching dance has been a powerful way to merge two of my greatest passions—education and the art of dance. Over the last 14+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with well-established studios, such as Arthur Murray, and Fred Astaire in Maryland, and DF Dance Studio in Utah, as well as teaching independently. As an instructor, I developed and managed learning content for students while also training and evaluating new staff to ensure effective teaching methodologies across various dance forms. I collaborated with a studio owners to create digital training courses on teaching strategies for new instructors, helping them refine their approach and enhance student engagement.
Beyond instruction, I’ve performed Pro-Am routines with students and Pro-Pro routines with peers, bringing artistry and technique to the stage. In competition, I reached the All-Star level in West Coast Swing, a milestone that required immense dedication and perseverance. I’ve competed as both a leader and follower, showcasing versatility and a deep understanding of partner connection.
Additionally, I’ve had the honor of judging local dance events in Maryland and Utah, sharing my expertise to help dancers refine their craft. These experiences have shaped my approach to teaching, allowing me to develop personalized instruction that empowers both dancers and instructors to excel with confidence.

My Story
As a teacher, I constantly sought creative ways to engage students in learning. Technology became a powerful tool for providing multiple pathways to acquire new knowledge, allowing me to adapt lessons to different learning styles. Over time, I became the go-to resource for colleagues seeking tech guidance, a role that ultimately led me to pursue a Master’s in Educational Technology.
Through my M.Ed. studies, I developed expertise in multimedia learning principles and the ADDIE Instructional Design model, creating web-based training for educators. During the pandemic, I joined the EdTech volunteer team at my school. Our mission was to ensure educators could foster student participation in an evolving distance learning landscape. We helped train staff on LMS platforms, Zoom, and digital tools to enhance distance learning. This experience deepened my passion for instructional design, leading to my current role as a Learning Experience Designer.
In this role, I design training programs and simulations for 911 dispatchers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to respond effectively in critical situations. My exposure to a wide range of technology-driven learning tools, such as Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud, has further expanded my expertise in instructional design, multimedia content creation, and workforce training solutions.
With this experience, I’m excited to bring innovative learning solutions to MindSpark, designing engaging, accessible, and transformative learning experiences for educators, professionals, and lifelong learners seeking to grow their skills and confidence.
